CC Maj USAFKaren & LHCP, I picked up your package today. Thank you so much. The current staff was extremely excited about the new Playstations. They said that your game choices were perfect. We have a group of returning Airman arriving this week, so I’m sure they will get lots of play.

I decided to put one in our main living/common area. We will be able to keep tabs on it best that way. Again, thank you for these. I’ll keep you updated on the usage

Hello LHCP
The shipment was perfect and I am glad it will last a long time. THANKS SO MUCH. It was all very useful.
The staff all talked about how kind and generous you and LHCP were. Also HM2 talked about how you stayed up with him until 2 in the morning watching the Packer game. You are loved here:) I really hope you can make it back here.

Karen,
We received 14 large boxes in the mail this week. WOW! Thank you so much for these materials. This week and the upcoming weeks are very busy for us here. I will try to take pictures of some of the distro and usage of the gifts you sent. We have lots of deployers coming through and I am confident they will appreciate many of these items. Your support of our Airmen is outstanding. Glad to have you on our team.
Respectfully,
Corey

LHCP, Thank you for all of the many contribution that you and LHCP make to the sailors at WTP.

Karen –
The first phase of the gate beautification was completed yesterday and it looks great! As mentioned to the commander of the garrison security forces (below), we had to alter the original plan so that plants were low and did not block the security post’s view of the front gate. While small now, they will grow and serve to provide a more welcoming entrance for all. We greatly appreciate your support in this effort as it not only provides an improved environment for staff and Returning Sailors, but also for our Army hosts here at Sembach Kaserne.
Attached are photos of the work as well as a new staff photo.
As always, we appreciate the continued support of the LHCP!

Good afternoon!
As I mentioned before, this project that you have taken one is right in-line
with our Garrison community policing concept; specifically in this case, the
“Broken Windows” theory. Broken windows comes from the metaphor used to
describe this concept: “If a window is broken and left unrepaired, people
walking by will conclude that no one cares and no one is in charge.” This
theory says that the little things matter. In this case, you addressed the
first impression of the Sembach Post; I am not proud to say that the Sembach
ACP is one of the worst in all of USAG-RP, for many reasons…. today, that
has been improved.
BL: your effort is much-much more than just “window dressing”. Thank you so
very much for your team’s efforts and please call of the DES if we can ever
do anything for you. One Team!
*FOOTNOTE: Former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani adopted the
Broken Windows Theory and implemented a community-policing strategy focused
on order maintenance. Graffiti was washed nightly from subway cars, subway
turnstile jumpers arrested, and trash picked up among other things. Minor,
seemingly insignificant, quality-of-life crimes were found to be the tipping
point for violent crime. When New York “windows” were repaired, crime
dropped.

Sir or Ma’am,
I am currently deployed to xxx AB and run the mental health clinic.
I was transitioning through Al Udied and was able to speak with my
counterparts there and they mentioned your organization. We would like to
utilize your organization to get care packages such as towels and pillows
sent to us so we can use it as outreach materials for my clinic. Please
advise me on what information you would need. Thank you for your time.

Deployment jokes! =) I love it! So I am definitely stuck here but sometime in July/August we have another rotation moving in. I will have my replacement email you when he is a little settled in that way we don’t have to long of a wait like we did initially. Thanks again for all that you have provided for my team, it has been a huge success with our members here and we definitely look forward to maintaining this relationship as long as possible!

Attached are shots of the horse pits and the cornhole equipment with the sandbags you’ve provided. The last photo shows a new shelving unit that displays and consolidates all the other sports equipment in one spot; much of it provided by your organization. Having it all in one place has really increased the use; that coupled with the weather. I’ll forward some action shots later, but wanted to provide some pictures of how the place looks with your equipment in-place.
All in all, things are going well here. We just had two large RS classes (41 and 67) pass through and the before & after WTP transformation was stunning. And while I thought it was perhaps my lack of depth in observing such things, the staff also were amazed at the positive change too. Bottom line is that this place continues to provide the resiliency and decompression needs of our sailors and I’m proud to assist in providing that service. Your organization is considered part of our team and I thank you again for all you have and continue to do! Appreciate it!
Take care and let me know if you have any questions or concerns –

Dated April 8, 2015 Snail Mail
Dear Karen Grimord & Landstuhl Hospital Care Project
Thank you so much for your generous donation of the blankets and pillows.
As you know, the wounded, ill, and injured troops may come to our centers with very little and your donation will make their stay a little easier. The traveling troops will also appreciate your donation when they are on the go and need extra supplies.
With the generous support of people like you, we will be able to help many of these troops meet their essential daily news. We truly appreciate your kindness and thought donation to assist with our mission.
Thank you again, and we look forward to your continued support
Sincerely
Collen Lynch

Good morning ma’am! I hope this email finds you well. I just wanted to give you an update! We visited our Military Fire Fighters as well as other units and the towels were the favorite item, by a landslide. If you happen to have some more stashed away, I would love to restock for these summer months ahead! Again, thank you very much for increasing the morale of these deployed members.

Hi Karen,
My name is Loriann and I work for the USO in Kaiserslautern. I wrote you when I worked at the CASF to thank you for all you sent us, and to request items we needed.
I am still sometimes at the CASF, but now mainly at the Ramstein USO at the Passenger Terminal on Ramstein Air Base. We take care of those troops heading down range and returning from down range.
We recently received 2 boxes of travel pillows that you sent. We were out of them, so someone shared with us.
We had some church ladies that were making and sending them, but I am not sure if they can continue.
I was wondering if you might be willing to put us on your list of places in need.
We would LOVE travel pillows or blankets.
I know you have lots of places you send things, so no problem if not. But, I thought I would ask.
Thank you and all those in your organization, for all that you do.
Thank you for caring about our troops , and for your continued support of the USO.
I think those shorts are great ma’am. We will gladly hand those out over here.

I wanted to let you know that I will be redeploying soon. I do have my relief here, and that will be Petty Officer XX and Petty Officer XX (both CC’d).
Thank you for your support over the past few months. You have kept our Seabees comfortable with the pillows, kept moral high with the decorations, and of course, kept our guys well stocked with the snacks and beverage mixes.
Thank you again so very much for all that you do for our service members in Germany and down range. It is MOST appreciated!
